Engine Room Communication in English (video)

Spot On Learning is now producing a series of 'engine room communication' videos that contain the technical English that is important on board and in communication with professionals on shore. The course is being produced in response to requests by several worldwide players in the maritime industry.

Above an introduction video about the engine room, as it is already used in an existing maritime English course by Spot On Learning on the EnglishCentral platform. This is just to give you an idea of the video quality and the online learning method. EnglishCentral has three different learning modes: watch, learn and speak. Extra quizes help expand and test the vocabulary of a student. Participants work on their vocabulary and pronunciation, among other things. Results and progress can be monitored closely, participants receive personal feedback to help them improve continuously. Most of the time students can learn by themselves, online, at any time and in any place that they is convenient for them. Coaches monitor progress and give support when needed, by chat and email.
