Intro video Cargo & Cargo Handling Course

The EnglishCentral platform, that is being used in over 100 countries worldwide, uses innovative speech technology to provide users with detailed feedback about their pronunciation. It also helps expand and test their vocabulary and understanding of spoken English. In this series of videos words and phrases are used that are important in order to work safely and efficiently and communicate with colleagues, workers and officials in ports and on shore. Many words are taken from the SMCP list by IMO.

Introduction Cargo & Cargo Handling Course

Above an introduction video from our Cargo & Cargo Handling Course, as it is used on the EnglishCentral platform. EnglishCentral has three different learning modes: watch, learn and speak. Extra quizes help expand and test the vocabulary of a student. Participants work on their vocabulary and pronunciation, among other things. Results and progress can be monitored closely, participants receive personal feedback to help them improve continuously. This introduction video is a preview of some different parts of the entire course of 25 videos. The program takes most participants 6 - 8 weeks, during that period they ideally spend 3 times a week learning for about an hour.
